Indoor Project List

We have a long list of projects to complete, both indoors and out. Here’s the indoor project list. I will check things off as we complete them.

  • Hang coat hooks
  • Hang a mirror
  • Hang wreath on front door (need to get wreath hanger)

  • Make or buy new covers for the pillows
  • Find a basket to put lap blankets in
  • Find a basket to put piano music in

Pam’s Office

  • Re-paint the walls
  • Paint the trim (again, half is wood and half is painted white)
  • Paint the door?
  • Replace the mirrored closet doors?
  • Build “steps” to the top of the closet so Ivy (the cat) can climb up and down as she pleases
  • Hang curtains
  • Re-paint the bookshelf to match the room

Bathroom

  • Re-paint the walls
  • Stain the trim around the window
  • Possibly get new trim/baseboards to match the vanity
  • Replace the ugly, large medicine cabinet
  • Replace the floor? Maybe someday…definitely not a “to do soon” project
  • Hang curtains or valance

“Hallway” for Bathroom and Office, including linen closet

  • Re-paint walls
  • Possibly paint the trim
  • New door for the linen closet? Perhaps paint the door? It currently has a cheap wood bi-fold door.
  • Add more shelves as needed
  • Make labels for the baskets in there

Dining Room

  • Re-paint the walls
  • Paint the trim (yet again we have the mis-matched trim)
  • Find a rug?
  • Move hutch elsewhere?
  • Find shelf or similar piece of furniture for the SE corner

Kitchen

  • Re-paint the walls
  • Re-paint the cabinets
  • Hang curtains
  • New stove (it currently has a cooktop stove and hubby and I both hate it)
  • New floor – that isn’t peel-and-stick tile (it has two layers of that now)
  • Add countertop near stove?
  • Add cabinets (my dad is making some for us)

Back entry

  • Remove bi-fold closet doors Done 5/2013!
  • Replace linoleum and sub-floor (sub-floor has gotten wet and has water damage)
  • Build bench/cubbies/coat hooks in the closet area
  • Re-paint it?

Upstairs Hallway and Stairs

  • Re-paint it all
  • Remove the mirror cover and ironing board from the built-in, fold-up iron board cabinet
  • Paint the ironing board cabinet
  • Find something to display in ironing board cabinet
  • Perhaps paint hall closet doors

Guest Bedroom

  • Paint artwork for walls
  • Possibly paint the trim (it’s currently lavender)
  • Repaint the dresser in there
  • Possibly repaint the table that’s in there and Mod Podge a new top on it
  • Make or find a headboard for the bed
  • Find a rug
  • Put in a dormer to add light and increase space (this is a long-term plan)

Master Bedroom

  • Paint it
  • Find and hang curtains
  • New headboard…if I can convince hubby (so we’ll probably keep the same headboard)
  • Find a rug
  • New dresser for me
  • Put in a dormer to add light and increase space (this is a long-term plan)

Basement

  • New, non-oil furnace (we plan to do this before winter)
  • Get hubby’s office area organized
